> HELP ME with my V800
Bookmark topic
Since nobody responds as quick to the other threads I've posted this here.
I'm F***ing pissed.
I took the Marques advice and tried to use Davinci to flash my V800.
Now before you go ah he's gone and damaged the phone himself here me out.
I did nothing except follow the instructions on the site.
I did a Check CID and it said my phone was damaged. BEFORE I EVEN DID ANYTHING!
Now when i try to switch it on it just switches on the LEDS in a dimmed mode.
WTF!
I tried a recovery flash.
Worked fine until it gets to Finalization and then it says ERROR.
*sighs*
I just got this phone, and I'm not on a contract so I can't go to Voda...

Dont be angry and dont worry either. You cant damage a phone beyond repair with these things.
What cable do you have?

i'm ussing the DSS-25.
The Davinci Team Manual said that it's possible.
Problem is that I can't charge the battery so once it's empty... I guess I can't do anything more myself.

Yes it is but unfortunatly davinci use a very crude method to recover the V800 i.e. replace EROM where recovery certificate was left.......If you phone powers on now - flash recovery files again then flash normal R1Y main and FS files.

no you see when I try to power it on, the leds around the camera light up only.
Nothing else switches on.
I'm trying to do a recovery flash now at a low speed.

V800 has marita chipset and when detected should be flashed at 460800 baud but 115200 is fine.........

i didn't know that. the site said to use 921600.
I'm flashing at 57600 now just to be safe.
I cant stop it now can I?

No its fine. But flashing a V800 at 921600 is not gonna happen as far as i know. As soon as the recovery flash finishes - just flash the normal main and FS files with default finalization.

while it's finishing, can you fill me in on a few things.
When it finishes, I'll take it out of the dock, remove the battery and then try to switch it on.
If it works great I'll flash again after a charge, if not, what should I do?

If not then we shall try something different. Do not fear, you can only kill a phone with a hammer, brick, car, cliff edge etc etc
I thint that maybe your phone had been updated at some point with CID36 files. And when these programs detect CID36 bad things can happen
