Hey! Please someone, do tell me If I should use IrDA or get a Data Cable. I think the IrDa transfer rate 'SUCKS' Just like constipation. OnhOnh and... Ahhh 1% AhhAhh n Ooooo 2% ... and so on.

Make sure you have the COM port speed set to the highest possible and workable value. Older SE phones only allows 9600 on the cable but the newer ones (T6?0 onwards) allow much higher speeds.
IR is slow because 1) you didn't set the transfer speed and/or transfer mode to high, or 2) you have a cheap IR adapter.
I have 1 onboard and 2 USB ir adapters. 1 of the USB supports only 9600, but it costs only USD 3.50 - so you get what you paid for, I guess.
