how recently are we talking. I think there are tons of us that successfully updated when R4A10 came out. Don't think there have been many people updating since then because most of us already have the most recent firmware.

I updated about 3 weeks ago.
I'd recommend you search this forum for the experiences of other. Some of the tips I have gleaned myself include (N.B. Some of these not strictly necessary and may represent overkill but they worked for me)
o Remove the Powerpoint viewer from RAM if installed
o Do a full backup
o Remove Memory Stick
o Using the diagnostic menu, format the C drive
o Go to Java.com and get the latest version of Java
o Close all other apps on your PC
o Switch off the firewall
o Go to SE and upgrade
o Replace the Memory Stick
o Spend HOURS doing a restore ...
Worked for me on my IE, W2K SP3 laptop through a corporate firewall (that I couldn't switch off), TWICE.

am i right in presuming that as a tmobile uk customer, R4A006 is the latest/only firmware i can have?
i tried to use the update service a little while ago, and it said my phone was up to date... someone tell me if uk t mobile customers have the same problem, or if they can update using the service ... cheers
