Hi all, recently me and my friends like to use EMS a lot. It may not have the bell and whistles like MMS but it is adequate for most of us and its a lot cheaper than MMS. And now we get bored with preinstalled pics and animation. Can we add the collection? How and where should we get it? Nokia pictue messaging, though you can add the collection with value added service from operator, is out of question since its definitely incompatible with most SE handsets.
Thx b4.

You cant add other pictures to the EMS collection cause they're programmed into the firmware

You dont need to add them anywhere...when writing a text select add object...then add image and select image from your pic gallery. Pics have to be black and white .wbmp or .bmp files in small resolutions like 32x32 or 72x14. The animations you see in ems however are not really animated files which are sent...these are just some standard set of emoticons which every phone supporting ems has built into its firmware and represents in its own unique style so you obviously cant have any more animated ones.

Wrong, you CAN add animations to SE phones. The file format is *.ems. and are usually quite small blakc and white animations.
I discovered this totally by accident, my wife sent me an EMS message from her Samsung D500, and she included a custom animation of a heart, which was not part of the pre-defined EMS animations.
Unlike the predefinated animations, the full animation is sent with the Text (resulting in several text) and the animation is quite small (about the size of a charactor).
I was able to save the animation, and then send it on (insert item -> animations)

you may convert your image to *.wbmp by using dotwap/santana builder(from inetis) or my lovely converter (Right_Click_Image_Converter)
