Every so often auto answer on my T610 stops working - which is really annoying when you're driving and using BT handsfree... I can fix it though - by doing a Master Reset.

This is a real pain though as I have to re-enter all my many settings.

Two questions...

1. Why does auto answer stop working?

2. Is Master Reset the only way to fix this?

3. (OK I lied!) Is there any way to backup *all* the settings before a reset and restore after??

TIA

3. You can back up *most* things with Float's Mobile Agent.

Well, in fact, you can back up without any software... just send to your PC with IR or BT ... phone books, themes, ringtones, pictures, bookmarks.

appreciate that but the biggest hassle for me is things like data, email, bluetooth, etc settings.

i've tried using autoanswer without a BT device and that doesn't work either so I suspect it's not to do with BT...

So get it upgraded to the latest and it might very well solve your problem.

that's in hand and i'll see what that does. There's nothing in the firmware upgrade descriptions to suggest that they fix or address any autoanswer problems. Of course I still will have the same problem that a master reset would have given me..

Firmware upgrade does not necessarily wipe out your phone book and settings. It never happened to me when I had it done by the service centres.
