> Facia problems with p800 (very odd)

i've just bought a new all black cover for my p800 and have spent all morning taking the phone apart in order to fit the cover, the problem i'm having is that when i put everything in the new case the touch screen doesn't work (everything else is fine) when out of the case but all hooked up the touch screen works fine, and it's also all fine if i put it back in the old housing HELP!!!

The behaviour seems to be consistent with some part of the case is touching the touch screen.

would it be the actual front of the screen that was touching the case or some part of the circuitry? i'm pretty sure neither is touching but i'll check again
