hey guys lve recently moved out and dont have broadband yet. l was wondering if anyone could explain to me how l use my lnfrared modem to connect to my laptop and use the net since i dont have my maual with me!
All help appreaciated!

Im presuming you have your IRda software installed on your pc...
And the p800 pc suite installed as well...use the dial up networking wizard that comes with the pc suite...its quite simple actually, to set up a new dun connection..
ps: go through the read me file in the pc suite....it will help answer most, if not all of your queries....

Cool. Download the p800 ir modem drivers from se site. Place your phone infront of the modem and create an ir connection. Now go to device manager to find a standard modem over ir. Update this with se drivers. Now go to dialup and create a new connection and select the new p800 ir modem. Put in your number as *99***x# where x is the external id of the data account.

To find "x" in the *99***x#, go to Windows start>setings>control panel>phones and modems
select the modem>properties>diagnostics> query modem
scroll down the query result....note down the number against the server address...thats "x"

lve went through the dial up wizaard and installed the IR modem but its saying that my phone didnt reply within and required time and to make sure it was switched on which it is!
Please help!

l tried the dial up connetion wizard way since i cant get onto the net on my laptop to download things! and yes my modem is turned on in the settings! can i conect the modem via the docking station?
