> Background Apps on P910a
Bookmark topic
I am using SMan 1.4 on my P910a. I am curious what these apps are that are running hidden on the phone. The apps are as follows:
-Eiksrvbackdrop 588k
-Desktop 144k
-Beamer 88k
-Appicker 76k
-Flipkeypad 72k
Can I flush those apps on close to help keep the open apps to a minimum, or do they have to remain open? Any help would be appreciated.

They are part of the OS.
You kill them, and they return to haunt you while you are sleeping at night.

That is kind of what I thought when I was looking at the names of them. So I will just keep them hidden and move on. Thanks for the info.

-Eiksrvbackdrop 588k
Dunno what it is...
-Desktop 144k
Don't have this one on my p910 and never saw it.
-Beamer 88k
Essential for sending/receiving files via bt/ir. Call it the
"quickshare"-feature
-Appicker 76k
The top-menu-bar. (isn't it?)
-Flipkeypad 72k
This is the little icon you got, when you deinstall the flip or turn
the "virtual flip" on.
So nothing to worry about.

"Desktop" should be the SE desktop application. De-install SE-desktop if you want to get rid of it.
Edwin.
