I have just bought a bluetooth dongle(Belkin). My phone can find it fine, but when I try and send photos to my pc, my phone just wont connect to it. Please can someone post a noob guide to what i need to sort. I gather theres some issue with widcomm drivers, but I haven't a clue. Thanks in advance.

Have you paired the phone and pc?

Yeah... close all unrelated applications and windows while you are doing it, because often there is a prompt for pairing which gets hidden by another open window.

you might need to right click on the bluetooth logo near the clock, and select recive file and then send it, thats how it works for me.

yup...same here..but on my desktop i could send it directly from the phone...it only had the dongle software installed...but on my laptop i ned to click receive file and then send it...i think its something to do with the BT drivers preinstalled in Win XP...any idea how to shut that down and make the device drivers tae precedence?

Un install the drivers from the device manager. Restart the system and reinstall your specific driver from the cd without plugging in the blue tooth dongle. Plug it in when asked. Restart. Make your phone find the pc. Passcodes. . . . And all. . .

are you using the windows stack (no belkin drivers and service pack 2) or the belkin stack?
the windows stack does not accept incoming files unless prewarned (see above "recieve file" post) but the belkin stack should and the instructions would be in the belkin helpfiles/booklet
make sure to pair the devices and if in doubt, install fma (sourceforge) and access your whole phone
