Does any1 know of a prog that i can use to decrease the bit rate of my mp3s. I use 2 use dbpoweramp but as it was only a trial version i can no longer use it

does any1 know where i can get the "full" version

or a prog that can do this 4 me 4 free? Thanks, 5O

It's really a CD-Ripping tool but you can use it to convert mp3 to .wav files, then re-encode them at a higher compression level. It's a bit of an 'around the houses' way of doing it but CDEX is completely freeware (no trial period, no adware) and the results are generally very good

I use audacity and razorlame they seem to work well but I have not tried others check out sourceforge.com for both.
by the way you need LAME to make razorlame work as it is just a frontend.
