Just wanted this to have a topic of its own. I'm wondering if anyone in Ericsson or SE even plays with their own products... haven't they noticed the slow menu response times???
This all began with their 3v platform (T28s)...and it HASN'T GONE AWAY! Why is this??? I mean, come on... don't tell me no one in the R&D or SW division hasn't noticed the turtle speed menus??? They slow down even more when in the SMS menu!!!
If it's to conserve battery life...fine... at least place an option for 'PERFORMANCE or BATTERY LIFE' kind of like Intel's Speedstep. Something that will allow the menu to run the way it USED TO with the GH688 or GF788 series... REAL-TIME!
At least give the users the option to switch to fast menu mode, or 'Energizer Bunny' battery mode. Then we'll all stop complaining about the friggin' menu!

This really bugged me with my T39 and also T68i, but I've understood that it's kind of a compromise.. It's either a Nokia with lots of errors and crashes, or a SE-phone which works perfect, albeit a little slower. Not a difficult choise actually, I am a proud owner of the T68i.
I suggest you should be a bit patient. You don't need to rush everything, take it easy and just wait for the phone to catch up with you!!
SE's accessories beet Nokia by far.. Communicam, BT-headsets etc. are way better than the simple accessories you get for your Nokia.

Its not true that this phone never crashes!It froze many times when i played erix and when i did too much with it.(my nokia 8210 never froze and i had it for 1 year but this phone froze the first day!).And yes its sometimes very slow!
Apart frome these its a very good phone but the games are crap!

for me, when I purchase a Nokia 8310...go to service centre until the staff there scare to see me.
time wasting and problem can never be solve, even the staff there admit it. I know not their fault.
once I change to sonyericsson. WONDERFUL! Life is so much better.

I've had a 5110, 6210 and 3210, none of them ever crashed !
I have got my T68i for a month now, and have experienced 3 crashes!
It is a very good phone (have to say it, I am SONY, SO !) just kidding !
Worst phone was a Bosch 909 ! awful !

The consumer market that the T68i is meant for don't think that good games is the most important thing in their mobile. That's why this phone is packed with features such as BlueTooth, high speed data, IR, excellent speech quality etc.
If games are so important, than maybe you should go for another phone.. I agree that good games would be preferable, but games don't guide my choice of a phone to buy..

This also once bugs me!
My T20 respond time was way beyond comprehension.
It was like a PC with Pentium 2 running some pentium 4 games.
There was nothing wrong with my old phone(GA628) and my new one (R600)
The R600 respond time was that of the GA628. Fast and good

I own a T68i and it hasent crashed with me at all but the menus are too slow. Agreed with the poster that it should be a choise if its about battery life.
Nokia has to go to service about three times a year. But they are easyer to sell becouse it has faster menus and so seems to work beter.
