> Is it possible to IR MMS?
Bookmark topic
Before i get flamed straight to the bowels of hell, let me explain...........
i have an MMS that i would like to send somebody, but hes not worth the 25p.
ive got a file manager installed on my p800 that allows you to IR individual files.
if i found out where on c: drive the MMS is stored and i IR it to him, would his phone understand the file as being an MMS or would it tell it to get lost?
thanks.

i think its in the system\mail folder and then search within the subfolders (theres quite a lot). I don't think its possible though

Here's one way to do it (works with my P800):
1) Save the mms you want to send to your friend as an mmstemplate.
2) Use a file manager to browse to the folder c:\documents\mms\templates
3) All of the mms templates on your phone are stored there, each in its own individual folder.
4) Find the folder for the mms you want to send, ZIP all the files and send the ZIP file to your friend through IR or BT (or MMS it

).
5) Your friend must then unzip the file into a separate folder in the templates folder mentioned in 2) above.
6) In the messaging app, open a "new" mms using the relevant template and the mms will appear on his phone
A bit of a mission if you think about it, but it's the only way I can think of to make sure all of the required files are transferred. The problem with the System\Mail approach is that each component of the mms gets put into its own subfolder, so unless you know exactly where each component is, you'll never find all of them, which probably means your mms will be incomplete.
(PS, this is also the way I back up my mms's to PC)

But itīs not hard to know if you saving them as templates (read above) then you easy find them.
