does anyone know if there's any way of getting a faster connection that 9.7Kbps using my k700i as a modem on my laptop.

either connecting through infared or DSS-25

help would be much appreciated. cheers

no... GPRS is fastest for the K700i, around 20 to 30 kbit/s
use as dialup number *99# or *98*1# you may need to setup gprs on your mobile first

I get 14.4kbps on mine. Try changing the port settings, if it's set to 9600 try using a higher setting. You can find these settings by right-clicking My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager.

@mp3..get full web gprs activated on your phone...set up a new dial up connection on the pc...configure it to use the k700 as a modem...ask yer operator for the dialup code...click away...simple
btw...how are you connecting pc to k700...ir, cale or bt?

The speed is network dependant theoriticaly u can get around 115.2 kbps as ur max GPRS speed k700i has class 10 GPRS This message was posted from a WAP device
