hi, im wondering if there's an (easy) way to set up a server in my pc (adsl) so i can use it as a proxy server for my p800 (opera). maybe i can set it up to compress the data before its sent to the phone, or to reduce the quality of the pictures in websites. i want something like toonel or the opera web accelerator, but FREE (and mine )

Check out Rabbit, it'll do exactly what you want and is free.
I have used it myself and found for simple HTML surfing via Opera it lowered usage quite a bit. Doesn't help with HTTPS/Email/Instant Messaging though.

I can't (well, won't) give you help setting it up sorry, it's not the kind of thing that's easy to explain. Read the manual/FAQ before you decide to use it, if it looks a bit too complex then prehaps look at one of the many other window proxies available.

Tim

EDIT: Prehaps the URL would help you: http://rabbit-proxy.sourceforge.net/index.shtml
