Sorry people but after a few days with 910i i am overall very disappointed - i tried to let it redeem itself by trying many different things - and fair enough some do work well and provide a certain level of satisfaction - watching films is good, speakers for music are good, the camera is okish, the menu system is okish but the bottom line is ive had a microsoft smartphone (2 generations of SPVs and the awesome motorola mpx 200) for past few years and the symbian software is alot more work - alot slower and just plain stupid sometimes - i am making a generalisation here as i have only had the 910i but from what i gather this is the latest symbian - believe me it feels like ive been running xp for years and all of a sudden ive got a brick with windows 98 on it - no thanks - good forum here but im going back to ms with the mpx 220 - so good luck people

Ps. I hate microsoft but they've got me by the balls

yeah ive checked it out - its pretty bulky - but it is alot easier to use due to its shape and design in comparison to 910i but again i do prefer microsoft smartphone software, esp in a motorola as they tweak it - its what you get used to i suppose in a way.....

true, i do think though, our P910s should be more like PCs, i mean the opition to install other OS's on our phones would be great personaly i love p910 have handled a XDA II and its ok, apart from the drop-a-blity factor, its so slipperry, but the menus and everything else seems to be all over the place, just my views anyway

@ gcsq i told u 9300 not nokia 9500. 9300 is indeed smaller than P910. It also has a lot more features and yes i'm in love with tat laptop design :-D This message was posted from a T610

Have to say I agree with p910iguy I allready own a P900 and wanted to up grade so checked out the competition XDA looked great but just didnt feel right or that comfortable in my hand, I rejected the Nokia "Pocket Server" on the grounds of size weight! and no touch screen, that left the P910i and have to say if they have really improved the memory performance issue I have with the P900 I will be a very happy man is the cut down office stuff actualy any good "Word" is the only bit i will use a spread shhet on such a small screen will I suspect be next to impossible unless you can run in landscape view

Well, its the opposite experience for me. I have had the two Nokia communicators, the Imate PDA2K and the Jam but had to return them because I need a phone first and second a PDA. For that, the 910 is one of a kind. The 9500 looks like a remote control, its huge and no touch screen, the 9300 is OK in size still no touch screen. The quirkiness and the constant hanging and rebooting of MS smartphones is just plain silly. They have promise but I will buy them again when the dust has settled. They are more trouble than Symbian at the moment. My 910 has never hang, never rebooted and went on as smooth as expected. Sure, the interface is not as fancy, but it does its job and it does it quite well. I will buy its next evolution, that is how I like my current P910. Never had problems associated with MS smartphones.

Im still fiddling and to be fair since i ditched the keypad it has grown on me slightly.....but just no cigar unfortunately - believe me i cant be assed faffing around i wanna like this thing but i miss having msn messenger, being able to personalise the desktop and i dont just mean the wallpaper and colours, the integration with outlook, windows media player, shortcuts to any prog/game etc or number via holding down keys (appalled by symbian shortcut facility), a REAL back button and unlimited games pretty much due to several 3rd party emulators - yes i had hundreds of nes snes etc games running on my mpx 200 - ms software does crash yes but if u get a moto one they provide u with a task manager so can always recover - mine only ever crashed due to some game id tried and failed to get working - it seems to be easier to unlock and install 3rd party progs, games etc on ms smartphones - is this the case From what ive gathered as is the case with in terms of pc os also - theres always gonna be a load more people making stuff and altering stuff for microsoft products than anything else - for the last 2-3 years ive been a member on several ms smartphone forums and the potential to jazz up your ms smartphone up appears to be alot greater (and alot of the time its freeware ) - im considering just getting another mpx 200 off ebay and making some money selling this 910i - so i'll let you know if i do within next few days

peace out
