In general I think we don't find out unless someone here happens to know them outside of Esato or knows their family. Its unfortunate but true. However there are plenty of people that just leave one day and never come back, and on a message board there is no way to tell the difference. Just have to hope everyone is still OK out there somewhere.

Let's make a rule, sort of like the one for missing persons. 'If a member does not post for a duration of 3 consecutive months- he/she shall be presumed dead by the other members until proven otherwise'. So if one does not want a false assumption made regarding his/her viability in the mortal world- one should post atleast once in 3 months. Or else re-register with life (on esato).
