Hi all

First thing, I love this site

here is the question:

I bought my P900 on Orange PAYG. I recently got it unbranded so my internet will work using my O2 sim. If my phone breaks and I claim it to be fixed over insurance, would they fix it if I install the 'back up' which has orange stuff on it? I would they still notice?

Maybe sum ppl did not get me, here is a simple bullet point:

-p900 on orange
-backed it up
-got it unbranded
-fone breaks
-install the backup file onto the p900 to make it look like orange stuff is on there
-send it off for repair

Would that work?

Restoring the backup won't replace the branded firmware.

I don't know whether they'll notice, probably depends why u claim.
Try & claim s/w fault & they'll probably check & notice.
Claiming damage, loss etc doesn't really affect it.

Do u NEED to claim on isurance? If not then don't worry till u do
