many apps asociate some file extensions with them (ie quickoffice or documents2go) so i believe there must be some file that we can edit so we can, for example, make Opera the default html or txt reader.
what do you think? wouldnt it be useful?
if some developper knows sthg about this, please please give us some hint.
thank you in advance

Hi there! just a quick question. Why would you want opera to open your txt files when you have quick office??
Maybe someone at opera.com could help though too....

well, i've tried quickoffice but i dont have it now. I dont know, it was an example. I would use opera mainly for html.
but i think it can be useful.
imagine mp3's and ogg's asociated with your favourite player.
jpg's with your image viewer/editor
that way we could open the files directly from sman or any file browser.

ok, i used juninstall and modified the settings to see where in the drive the changes were made, and i took me to x:\system\recogs
when you associate an extension to a program, a file is created there. the file's got MDL extension.
do someone know how to make one of those files? hexediting the file doesnt give me any info. what now?
