> Tax-free K750i in Sweden?
Bookmark topic
I'll be visiting Sweden in 2 weeks and as I recall tax-free shopping is available for non-EU residents. Do any Swedes on the board know of any shops in Sweden that would sell the K750i tax-free? Online or instore?

Yes, I'll be going to Stockholm.
I don't think all stores sell tax-free as I e-mailed katshing.se and they told me they would not sell it to me without the tax.

Well, I guess no-one will sell it without the tax. They are not allowed to not charge the tax unless the goods is beeing taken out of the country. You should ask for a tax refund form which you will hand in at the airport when you're leaving, and then you'll get the tax back. If they sold it without getting the tax, everyone could ask a foreigner to buy it for them.

What he needs is a store that can supply him with the tax refund form. All stores can do that, but of course some will say they cannot because they don't have experience with it.

Exactly. I understand I have to pay full price and that I'll get the tax back at the airport on my way back. So all I need is a store that would be willing to supply the tax refund form. I was under the impression that shops decide on an individual basis whether to allow for "tax-free shopping".
Checking SE price runner, most places seem to have it around 3500 kronor, which without tax comes to about 2700 kronor or $380USD--which is an amazing price. I'm going to be in Stockholm from June 15th til July 12th, so I might as well pick one up for such a cheap price(tax free that is).

Note that only web stores offer K750 for 3500 kr. They don't have physical stores, hence a lower price. Their stock is also usually empty for next month.
The real stores have it at 3800 kr at least, some up to 4200 kr.

Yes, that's true. No one is obligated to provide "tax-free" shopping.
From my experience most shops are kind enough to help you out (I had relatives on vistit 2 years ago, so I have tried it).
The Phone House is probably the biggest mobile phone store although not the cheapest (will sell K750 for around 4000 Skr - ~555 USD, VAT included). The cheapest store I have seen, is Webhallen (3395 Skr ~ 471 USD, may require preorder, not sure). You can probably try Dialect as well. Then you have, Pub varuhuset, Åhlens, Teknikmagasinet etc. All are located in central Stockholm close to each other.
Be aware that currently the demand is very high, but the supply is very low (hopefully the supply should be better within 2 weeks, but don't hold your breath).
