My P900 touch screen doesn't work. Other buttons/keypads work fine except the screen. I tried reformat, playing around with the ribbon cable from the screen to the board all no luck. I guess its dead? I've done searching here all I found is asking to send it back to SE centre. I'd rather fix it myself.

Other than replacing the whole screen, is it possible to fix it? Anyone experienced this before? The phone just turns 1 year old (no more warranty).

I'm beginning to hate this phone now.. First the housing cracked because of the keypad (common problem), now the touch screen. Whats next?!

@ ullyeus
this happened to me and two pals, each time it was due to a small bit of grit that had got lodged between the screen and the housing at the edge of the screen. This made the phone think the screen was being pressed at this point all of the time, preventing it from registering any other presses. Easily solved by passing the corner of a piece of card or paper around the edge between the screen and the housing.
Hope this helps.

Already took it apart. I even removed my screen protector.

It just stopped working. I didn't drop it well maybe couple of times, but that was too (very) long time ago.

I don't think its the dust problem as I already took it apart and clean both the screen and the front housing. Also, I've switched on the phone without the front cover, but the touch screen still won't work
