Just to share to all, I'm able to send out my gmail (POP3) with this setting. I'm only able to send out but cannot received. My temporary solution is to forward all mail to my Hotpop account.

I used profimail and was able to send and receive... to be honest though I didn't really like the program and would much rather use the in-built mail client.

My solution is simple - get a Yahoo! Mail which is 1Gb now too. I just setuped firwarding at my previous Gmail mail account to Yahoo! - no problems: I get all the messages from Gmail easily & can send anything too. By the way recently Yahoo! Mail became my primary mail service

hey I can send and receive with vodafone server, but I can also send and receive with gmail.
Other mail profiders I can only receive and not send, because they don't have an authenticated mail server (like gmail and vodafone).
