> Is it Possible to recover from a flash failure?

I recently got a v802 already unlocked and tried flashing it to a z800i the other day using davinci team client. Midway through the flash an error occurred and now im having trouble flashing back older firmware and wat not. At first i thought it was my com port cuz i played with the settings at first for higher speed. But now it kept causing more trouble so i reverted to a more slower speed allowing the flash to go abit further but still gets errors.
Is it possible to still charge the battery for the phone when it has no functional firmware in the phone?? I thought it mightve been the battery crapped out but i dont kno for sure. I charge it but theres no sign that it is charging like a light going on and etc.
Any help is appreciated.

what exactly was the error dispayed, you cant kill a phone by flashing if you select the right firmware for the right phone, the battery should charge in a dead phone aslong as its not water damaged.

From what you say it sounds about right, cuz the program still detects the phone so atleast its somewhat alive. Maybe im just not using the right firmware. I kno it said my phone is a cid29 but when i use the cid29 firmwares its still no good.
Should i decrease my com port speed? at first the pc had it set it to 9600 while the program was set to the 116000 or so. When is set the port to that amount the program kept getting a error switching baudrate. I then set it to like 3600 and the same for the program and it started flashing and working properly but still got an error. Tonight ill try again and post the exact error message. But if any of you guys had a similar problem could offer assistance it be great X-D

The EROM in your phones firmware has no doubt been erased and it now contains a recovery certificate.
You must flash with the recovery file from davinci skip finalization and then flash main and fs.
If you are using a T28 cable then there is a quicker way to repair the phone

I tried that actually but when i get the files from the servers theres no fs file, just the main flash bin. Is it okay if i use the main flashfile alone??

Ok i see what you mean. Flash the main recovery, and then afterwards flash the correct firmware your saying right?
Also will a usb T28 cable be a better idea to use for the flashing since there like 10x faster?

Yes, you understand me correctly. However, If you have T28 cable i would recommend using setool to flash just the EROM - only 11kb or so. Then you can flash normal main and FS with davinci

ok sounds simple. At first i was going to use se tools but I cant find any vendors selling credits to use it. Do you know of any sites that do? and whats the se tools site again, i cant find it on google or hotbot for some reason.
