I have a HBH-300 that I used to use with my K700i. Now I bought I K750i and it connects fine, but the mic volume is way to low. People cant hear what I say, I can hear them perfectly. I tried connecting it to a Nokia 6600 afterwords and it works fine. Anyone else had this problem?

Oh no! I'm waiting for a HBH-300 from Amazon for use with my new K750i. Any other HBH-300 and K750i owners out there having this problem?

I read so many positive comments about the HBH-300, that I thought it would be ideal. Strange thing is, it is specifically listed as a K750i-compatible accessory on the Sony Ericsson website. If it doesn't work, I'll be mega pissed off

I talked to a service-center here in Norway couple of days of ago.. they said they could upgrade the sw on HBH-300 and that might help. A friend of mine will deliver it for me there tomorrow so I might get it back tomorrow or the dayd after. I'll post here how this turns out.

Thanks Klorin. My HBH-300 arrived today, but I won't be able to test it until I get home from work and charge it up. My hope is that it will have a recent firmware version on it and hopefully will work OK. I'll post the result later.

Well, I've paired my new HBH-300 with my K750i. It looks like I'm having the same issue with the person I'm calling barely able to hear me.

I did an experiment by leaving my own answerphone a message using the headset, and when I listened, it was indeed barely audible.

This is really annoying as the HBH-300 is supposed to be a compatible accessory with the K750i.

I hope a firmware upgrade will fix this. Grrrr

I have the older model, the HBH-35, and this model works great with the K750. People can hear me very well.

@flanonthenet

Sad you got the same problem.. today they called me from the service-center, they didnt have the right dongle to do the upgrade and had to send it somewhere else. So I said thats not good enough and they offered me to trade it in with a brand new HBH-660. They also said that if I wasnt happy with the HBH-660 they would trade it with a HBH-300 again in a couple of weeks when they was able to upgrade them.. great service after all.
It turned out the guy I talked to lives not that far from me so he took the new HBH-660 with him after work and I met him 2 min driving from my home.

I checked the HBH-660 with K750i tonight and it works as it should!! But.. from what my gf said when we testet it the sound wasnt as loud as she used to hear me with HBH-300 and K700i. More then loud enough though.

Anyone have any experience with HBH-660.. should I keep it or trade back to HBH-300 when I can?
I will test it myself.. but in general, would you go for HBH-660 or HBH-300?
