It's tiny, but visible enough to send a warm fuzzy through the hearts of original trilogy fans. In the establishing shot of the expansive Senate docking bays,there's a tiny Millennium Falcon easing into frame. And it's not just a non-descript Corellian freighter; it's on good authority namely George Lucas that this is the infamous hunk-of-junk before it came into the ownership of either Lando Calrissian or Han Solo.

while interesting, it's not necessarily all that exciting or surprising to see since the Millenium Falcon is a modified (mainly engines, hyperdrive, weaponry and shields) version of a standard Corellian YT1300 Stock Light Frieghter. admittedly, it gave me some warm fuzzies when i saw it on screen.

btw - han solo was thrown out of the Imperial Navy after intervening to save Chewie (then a slave) from unwarranted and fatal torture at the hands of a guard, hence Chewie's "life debt" and loyatly to han. interestingly, han's boots are those he had while part of the military because they are custom made to the individual's feet.

and there would have been little point introducing han in the movie since he would have been about 5 years old, and was at that time being kept on a smuggler's ship as a general gopher and being used as petty thief.

@davo
It's nothing wrong with being that interested in something. Think about all the people who think we're wierd 'cause we like mobilephones. To them it's just lights and clockworks.
