I have noticed that on a v800 it doesmt seem 1mp to me!! I have seen pictures far better with an s700i, that presumably having the same camera resolution,do you think it's because of the size of the screen? Your views please.

v(z)800 (we don't have a v800 here as vodafone doesn't offer 3g) takes worse pictures than s700i, i can't really say that i've compared them for ages but i did had a chance to test it it the other day and the pictures were very dissapointing imho, still better than a vga shot but very far away from s700i, i guess it's the chip or the lenses....

ofcoz S700 takes better pics... S700 focuses more on camera... while V/Z800 is just a phone with a 1.3MP... Reason S700 has more features on the camera... and V/Z800 doesnt have much..

I am sure this has been raised before but basically the 2 phones have different cameras, I noticed when I had my V800 that the picture quality was inferior to a S700i so i got rid of it. However I have heard that if you get it de-branded and flashed as a Z800 then the picture quality does improve slightly as the phone has basically been out since November in one form or another.

Oh and before anyone asks No I dont know anywhere that will de-brand it for you, sorry, but I am sure someone will.

It seems unlikely that changing the software will leave you with a better camera (=hardware)

i think i has something to do with them have different types of camera module the s700i has a superior CCD sensor and the z800/v800 has a CMOS sensor, but i could be wrong???
