does anyone know how to get .wma files to work on the K750?
Is there a java music player that we can download to play wma in our K750.
The reason is because i have copied my entire music collection onto my PC on .wma format and dont wanna change it all again just to play on my K750
Regards,

Converting it all to MP3 would make it compatible with, oh, everything!!!!
Why stick to a microsoft specific format?

oh it was just easier when i first got my new computer, i only had Windows Media Player and it was much more simplier to pop disk and it copied straight off.
I think i might just convert all. I have since bought Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 and probably re-record all again.

You should be able to find a converter that can convert your entire collection in one operation so you can start before you go to bed and when you wake up its all done:)

Some older mp3 codecs play VBR very badly, so I always use CBR.

But then of course, variable bit rate uses less space...

yup, either that or you get a better quality for the same size.
I'm more concerned about compatibility though.

thanks for the advise. Will test out a few files on differnt formats see what happens.
I always recorded .wma at 128Kbps, what do you think i should use for mp3, please give me advise on both variable and constant qualities.
Cheers

personally id just re convert your collection if youve got the original cd.
if you go from one compressed form to another your sounds quality is going to suffer considerably,if your starting again i believe the k750 can play aac s in which case i would download i tunes which is free and convert to 192kb aac s(assuming the k750 can play this rate ), this will be a far superior sound to mp3 at this compression rate.
