Why is it sum pics wont show as thumbnails in S700 pic folders?

It seems to happen with pics sent from other phones. With me it happens with some pics that were attached to contacts and it sent them across when I transferred my phonebook by BT.
Must admit I'm not sure why though I've never taken the time to investigate

I think it has something to do with the way that the phone resizes the pics. If the size ratio is different to the standard S700i pics it wont display a thumbnail.
I cant guarentee that is why.

Change the picture from a jpeg to either a bitmap or gif and they will show.

I changed them from jpg to bmp and this worked but i'm not sure if most fone's display bmp & gif pics & i'd rather hav them stored on my fone as jpg's incase i bluetooth some, anyway i resized the pics by changing the highest pixels whether it woz height or width to 300 & kept the aspect ratio, now all my pics show up as thumbnails & they view full screen on my S700 & plus there stil in the most popular format jpg if i want 2 bluetooth them
