Does anyone no exactly how the o2 online contract policy's work??

I got my K700 in July 2004 for 12 months, and i will therefore be looking to upgrade to a K750 in september this year. But i've never been on o2 online contracts before and i was wondering if anyone knew what the chances of getting a free upgrade to a K750i would be??

I dunno about the online thingy, but you can renew/upgrade your contact after 11 months.

That's what I did; my contract was suppose to "expire" on 17th June but I got my upgrade phone k750 last week from the 02 shop for free.

My upgrade details did not show up on their system, apart from my address etc. so the sales lady got on the blower, called Big Brother and all was approved on the phone. I did not need any documentation to prove address etc and they only made a photo copy of my credit card.

I couldn't careless about negligable camera improvements so I should be getting mine tomorrow. If I waited until October then there would be a different phone out with a 3MP camera lol. Not much point waiting really, is what will be a small improvement really worth missing out on the K750i for so long?. Will you even want the K750i in 4 months such is the speed of technology these days.

No, I actually had a crappy Nokia 6230! Allow me to tell you the story behind the story.

I first had a SE T610. When my contact came up for renewal, the K700 was due to be released in UK. At this same time thie crappy Nokia also appeared on the scene. At this time my contact with the T610 was with Vodafone, but seeing as they brand their phone severely I did not really want to renew with them as I dont like to do free advertising. (go figure; if a sports figure gets a ton of cash to flash their logo, why should I do it for free?)

Anyway, so now I'm impatient and i want this new K700 but nobody has it available. Every time you pop in a shop the story remains the same "sorry, next week" and so it went on, by this time I was already touching 13 months into my contract and I want that phone....

Then I went to Phones4U, and unfortunately the rubber arm that I have, let me down severely!

At this stage the Nokia became available and I got signed up with 02 as my arm got twisted by this slick (sexy) sales lady (remember the rubber arm I mentioned above).

So now I'm on a contact with O2, with a Nokia - remember it was not the phone that I wanted - and about 3 weeks after I got this pile of poop, the K700 eventually appeared on the scene. By then it was too late to change and I only had my own impatience and rubber arm to blame. I then had to wait a full year to get rid of this piece of crap, so believe me I felt like my kids on Christmas day when I eventually go my k750 and believe me it was well worrth the wait.

And yes, I'm still with 02. I think their service are great and their rates not too bad. Besides, the colour blue is my favourite colour, so that also has an influence...
