I've been using the 3gp converter on the new Quicktime 7 Pro for my Mac but it isnt as good as a converted Smartmovie video i have.
Who has a mac and reckons they know a better way to get good quality film conversions for a P900/910i?
There is ffmpeg but it is very difficult to use and i don't know that it's any good.
Any help would rock,
Cheers,

Hmmm, Quicktime 7.0 with pro update is better.
But still not as good as smartmovie I don't think.

No you can't get it for the Mac. I have a movie converted on Smartmovie but my mate with a PC did tht for me.
Lookis like Quicktime 7 is the best i can do for the moment then. Sigh.

FFMPEGX work very well with smartmovie, but it's true that's it's a bit more tricky.
The benefit is you get much better movie playback, and you can fast forward or rewind the movie without problems (try that with a 90 minutes movie in the MP4 player buildt in

).
Other than that, I guess there's just Quicktime for MPEG4, but you don't need smartmovie to play back then.
Just make sure you split the movie in several parts if you want to be able to ff & Rew.
cheers
