ok tried this

2 problems

the sim had 10 messages on it, i put it in the s700i, ok they show up, but in the saved items folder.. therefore i cant find a way to save or move them(they are being shown from the sim i guess)

jus to see if they were saved on the phone or sim, i deleted some messages when the sim was in the old phone, then i put it back in the s700 and they were gone and no new messages appeared either, so this could be the 2nd problem, the nokia not putting more messages on the sim

anyways, is there a way aroudn the 1st problem ??

thanks

there is no option on the nokia 8310 > copy to sim
there is no option on the SE s700i > copy from sim

the SE s700i does show 10 messages in the SAVED items folder. but u cannot move or save these messages to the phone.
therefore when deleted from the sim on the nokia they go

You have to copy your messeges from SIM to your S700i. You see them on the phone only while your SIM card with messeges is pluged in, right? If you see your messeges only in Archive folder it means that they're not on your phone, just on your SIM. You have to move them to another folder before removing SIM so they could stay on your phone.
