hi all how cums u cant rename photos you have takin on the s700!!!!
i was able 2 do it on my k700!!!
why!!!!????

You can't rename photos if they're in the camera pictures folder...but as soon as you move them to another folder, then you can

i just copy them to my PC to archive them anyway and rename them then. i find it easier with a qwerty keyboard anyway

It's strange how they can't be renamed when in the camera folder and it was the same on the K700, I don't see much point to it at all. You need to move them to another folder or to a computer as already mentioned

perhaps its to avoid pictures being saved with the same ile name and bein overwritten by the camera.

Its the legacy OS / Software ! That is what its about.
The s/w treat cam_sece folder as sacrosanct (like Windows' Systèm folders on Win PC's).
Infact once out, you cant move it back into Camera Pic folder, whtr from PC or another folder
