> K750i ear-piece volume
Bookmark topic
I have my doubts with the functioning of K750i ear piece unit. Even at the max volume its quite low for a phone like this.
At the same time the headset and rear-speaker volume is extremely good.
I am not sure if its a problem with all the K750i's or its a characteristic of all the SE phones. I have had a T610 in the past and that too had similar issue (not the hiss) when compared with say Nokia or Samsung phones.
Mine is an un-branded K750i purchased from India.
Phone rocks in general but SE should definitely give a thought on improving their ear-piece unit in future phones.

No way mate. This was one thing which i wanted to find out before i got the handset. I decided to test the phone out before i fully decided i wanted it.
When i first got it i was amazed at how much louder it was with the earpeice compared to my k700. It was almost double the loudness of that. I decided to compare it with 2 of my mp3 players. It is near enough the same loudness as my ipod just with less quality due to the headphones + hardrive. I reckon there isn't much in the sound quality as you can just get either an adapter enabling you to put your own headphoens, or you can get the new inear sonyericsson headphones which will fit straight into the k750.
I am well impressed with it as this was an issue with my k700, and thanks to this i can say 'so long' to my mp3 players and can easily carry this.
Alot of people are having problems though, some say theres isn't loud enough some say theres are. The handsets seem differnt to me, as if mine is as loud as my ipod (using the exact same song) then im happy with mine.

but I often use my phone in noisy environments...

I am talking about ear-piece volume while making calls as thats a very basic phone feature and its far from satisfactory.
You can very well make out the difference while using external speaker or the headset.
I will go and try out a couple of other K750i to figure out if its a genuine issue.

I have the same problem and took it the the vendor.
They agreed to the problem and tested some other k750i they had. These had the same problem, so I suppose it's a general issue.
Then I SE support if there was anything they could do about it but it wasn't possible at this point.
Guess I'm going to have to live with this problem... Great phone otherwise!

@Oogamous : Yes probably its on par with all other SE phones but that doesnt mean its not an issue.
Its adequate under extremely silent conditions but certainly not outside on the road.

I also have this problem. Makes the phone almost unusable in my, somewhat noisy, Renault Clio :-( Never had this problem with my Nokias!
Cheers
