I've got a P910i, and I've used the Update Service to update the software to R4A10. Which was fine and dandy.
But now, when I receive SMSes, only the number of the sender shows. It refuses to show the name of the contact.

Although, when I click on the From, the pop-up menu shows Open Contact and opens the right contact.
Anyone else experience this problem?
THX!

Yes, I've had this problem myself and I spent ages debugging it. I had it with my phone on R4A10.
What I found was the phone was having issues reading information from the SIM Card. If I went into the contacts menu and pulled the right hand menu down and selected "SIM" the phone would just keep trying to read the SIM Card without working.
If I rebooted the phone (sometimes I had to do this a couple of times) the phone was then able to read the SIM card, and the messages would appear with the contact name, instead of the phone number.
When it would happen, it would happen for all contacts even if they weren't listed on the SIM.
From my testing, it appears the phone trys to match the number to name first from the SIM, then from contacts. When it gets stuck reading the SIM, it doesn't seem to them timeout and read from the Contacts thus you get messages with only the phone number attached.
So first thing to try is to reboot your phone. Verify when you go into the Contacts menu and try and list the SIM card entries you don't get the phone trying to read forever the entries. If you do, reboot again until it shows correctly. Then you should find the phone once again sets the names on message.
Why this happens I don't know, nor am I 100% sure I am correct in my thinking. I still find now and then that when I text some people in international format, only the number shows up in the "Sent Messages"
It seems to be the same issue, but incoming messages work fine and I'm able to read all the contacts on my SIM Card fine.
I hope this helps you! Let me know how you get on.

Well - another way to make sure you don't get this problem is to just empty the SIM card. Just remove all the numbers in the SIM by copying them on your phone, and just keep empty the phone-book on the SIM.
Mine was doing the same and I must say that the SIM wasn't too snappy to respond either, but after I cleaned it up it runs *good* all the time now.
