I think you will have better chance of answer on an apache or webmaster forum . Anyway afaik if you have a dedicated server you should have http.conf, if you are not on a dedicated server you don't have access.

Wat u mean by dedicate server , http://www.waplinks3.com also by default it doesnt shows the index page bt there's a setting 2b done 2rectify that in httpd bt i dont ave the file , is it possible thru cpanel This message was posted from a Nokia

If you donīt have httpd.conf Apache wonīt start so if you have it up and running iīd say you have it but canīt find it
On my Unix server here at work itīs located (type locate httpd.conf in shell window)
/usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf

It's your own server or you use a webhosting that have dedicated or shared server ? If it's shared contact your webhoster

I ave htaccess file on myserver so i added DirectoryIndex as index.htm also tried changing it 2 SetDir.. Nd 2php also added MIME types nd copied index.htm file 2 www folder nd copied htaccess file 2 www , root nd public folder even thou after that the index.htm page doesnt show up , plz help This message was posted from a Nokia
