Ok I have tried to read as much of the other posts about this phone on this forum as well as others. Could I just ask a few questions to summarise and confirm.

(1) The 02 website seems to be the best place to get this phone on contract - as it has limited branding and re-badging. Is this so?

I am looking for the cheapest option. Is it the £30 per month + free K750 option? Are there others I can't see on the website?

Also, is the contract 12 months and how far into the contract can I change the tariff? This is quite important as I don't use my phone that much I would like to move to a cheaper tariff as soon as possible after I purchase this phone.

(I know I should be able to find this info out form O2 - but they make this info so hard to find). Thanks.

(2) I see the word K750 and K750i being thrown about. Is it exactly the same thing?

(3) I am current on PAYG with Vodafone. To get my PAC number is it a simple case of phoning Vodafone and asking for it? Do I do this AND get the number in my hand BEFORE submitting my purchase order for the K750

to be honest im not sure but....

1) yes o2 dnt brand thier fones as much as other networks providers.

thats for the branding. but im not too sure about the tarriff thingy. post a link showing us which tarriff it is and maybe we can help you a bit more.

2)k750i - k750...same thing, like the k700i and k700

dont know what the hell a PAC number is...

PAC Number is the code for keeping your phone number when you change provider.

And its pretty simple, phone up voda, ask for your PAC NO. and give it to you new provider (make sure they know before hand you intened to keep your old no.

).

Have you tired mobileshop they seem pretty cheap (have'nt used them myself tho).

1. There is no branding on the outside of the phone with o2, the only thing there is, is a few wallpapers in the phone, but these are easily changeable

2. k750 and k750i are the same phones

3. Just ring up Voda, they will give you your PAC number, set up a new contract with o2, when this is set up, you will be able to change your number with your PAC number, but you will be given a temporary number while you wait, so you would use your Voda sim in your new k750(which comes unlocked, o2 being the only network to sell phones without restrictions) then when the Voda sim doesnt work anymore, then you change to your o2 and it will magically have your new number

Usually it is 6 months before you can migrate to a lower tariff.

I've always thought their website was very poor!

The K750 is the model number. The letter "i" is used to signify that it is the "international" variant (sold in Europe). Other variants may be "a" for America or "c" for China. Essentially, the K750i is the version of the K750 that most people refer to.

Yes, that's exactly it. I believe you can give your PAC code to O2 Online after you've bought the phone, although this varies from vendor to vendor (CPW will require it at the point of sale).

Wow, http://www.mobileshop.com/mob[....]onthly/sony-ericsson-k750i.php - O2 200 + 50 Texts is only £15 per month + the phone is free (but £30 per month after first 6 months (12 months contract)

If someone could help me find out whether I can change tariff after 6 months that would be great.

I guess I will buy my phone here. If anyone has found any better deals, please let me know!

Also looking at whats included in the box at the bottom of page - is that the standard contents?

I guess the only final concern is what the coverage/quality connection is with o2 as I've never used them before.

edit: Having said that the Orange tariffs on that site are looking better and more flexible. The only problem is the Orange branding is bad right? Are Orange phones locked too?

edit 2: OVP Relax 200 + 200 Texts - This tariff looks the most attractive to me - any last minute persuasions to put me off the Orange model?
