> about k750i charging

does anybody know if it harms the phone or battery to leave it charging for a whole night (until morning ) ? its 12 am now and although it just said that battery finished charging, im thinking leaving it on untill morning... will it be ok ?

partial proof of this is that you can use any charger you like and it works fine but put a non original battery in an you get the "charging alien battery" message
also, consider the fact that SE provide in car chargers where there is no limit to how long the phone is connected and also that there is no mention in the user manual that you will cause damage if you leave the phone charging indefinitly.
On a personal note, I've regularly left my various SE phones on charge from friday night until monday morning on many occassions without issue
I really do think that people worry far too much about batteries these days given current technology and fairly cheap replacement costs

If its your first charge, charge the phone for 4 hours. If you've charged it before, charge it until the battery meter shows full and / or the status says 100%.
Many people recommend you charge the battery for 12 hours. This is complete nonesense that does not apply to new batteries.
SE phones tend not to tell you when the phone is fully charged, and so people think you have to charge them for days on end.

For a couple of months now, after i charge it, whether it's on the AC adapter, or via the USB, i can never get a full 100% charge. When i check the status right after turning it on, after a full night of charge on the AC adapter, the battery shows 96-97%.
Is this a true indication of battery life decay or is the battery meter inaccurate in some way?
PS i know the battery meter is adaptive and it will show a low battery reserve after intensive usage, and then 10 minutes later will show a higher level if you've left the phone alone. That doesn't apply here, as i check it right after turning it on, and also 5 minutes later, it's still 96 or 97%.

Hi tranced, thanks. i did read most of it, but i can't seem to find anything addressing this particular issue of the phone not charging up to the max (... or the meter not being accurate).
And yes, it's an old thread. Nowadays, anything we can do for the planet, including recycling old Esato threads, matters!
