Hello all,
I need your help in helping me decide whether the K750i is worth nearly twice the price of the K700i.
While the extra memory in K750i is nice, and stereo MP3 is a neat feature, I own an iPod, so it wouldn't be my primary portable music player. I might listen to music on it on days when I don't have the iPod around, so it's not that big a requirement.
As for the camera, I really don't know what to do, 2 megapixel is really fetching, but does it alone justify double the cost of the K700i?
On the whole it appears the K750i is an evolution of the K700i, so most of the features are the same, I figure the battery life is improved for the K750i and some tweaks in the OS here and there.
What I want in my next phone is good sound quality, decent RF, a nice UI, and good SMS handling. I know both phones offer that. So if one of those was a deciding factor, then it'd be a bit easier to pick the K750i over the K700i.
So what do you think? Is the K750i US worth $439, a $210 premium, when I can get a K700i for $229?

Thanks, I was just reading them
I figured it's best to ask both places to cover my bases. It's so tempting to get the K750i, but double the cost is well double the cost, so I can't easily justify it.

MyWorldPhone.com has them for that price here in NYC, for me it would be a local pickup, so that price plus NYC tax, still probably cheaper than paying shipping.

Honestly I don't think the K750 is a massive improvement over the K700... Except for the camera and expandable memory I'd say this would be an ideal upgrade from the T6** series.

Glad to see a well-thought-out query such as your post! You've obviously done your research. I own a K700i. It has outstanding RF. And this phone has truly wiped off Nokia's previous reputation as the benchmark in SMS handling: Its T9 is very very well implemented; the last-texted name list is very convenient also. I can only suppose that these excellent qualities have been carried over to the K750i, but that can be answered only by those who've actually used one.
I myself am waiting for that CCD sensor.

K750i will be cheaper by then, will have superior camera, fw bugs sorted out, and physical imperfections (if any) corrected in the factory. Right now I'm more than happy with my K700i.
Off-topic edit: Btw you suddenly set off "Jump in the Fire" and "Four Horsemen" in my brain! And On Through The Night of course. bludgeon riffola?

Well, if you already have the K700... jumping to the K750 won't be that big a deal... like jumping from the P800 to the P900.
But if you're skipping a gen... P800 -> P910, or the T630 -> K750... that will be a decent enough jump.
Now, between the K700 and the K750... it all depends on how you use your mobile.
Seeing as you have an iPod already, that negates a big chunk of the K750. All that's left is the camera. If you like taking photos... then obviously, go for the K750. But if you take 1 photo a month, or less... then why bother?
Expandable mem is only useful if you use either the MP3 or camera functions OFTEN (at least 2x a week). If not... then go for the K700.
