Does anyone know of a company or individual in the US that can replace my housing for me. I MEAN THAT WILL ACTUALLY DO THE WORK NOT JUST SELL ME THE HOUSING!!! I've looked at all the step by step guides and before I go the route of doing it myself I thought I might explore this option.

There is only one service center in the US. IT is on the east coast. Maybe globalmob.com is able to do it. They have an upgrade center in the LA area.

actually... on this note, my mate (who knows a phone dealer) says that there is a metal housing available for the p900, retail £100. Can anyone cast any light on this?

I have changed the housing on my P800 just recently and found it fairly simply. Granted I had a few hiccups along the way by not using an anti-static band (new motherboard set me back £34 from eBay) but other than it was smooth sailing!!
If you start taking it apart it voids the warranty and all that so be 100% sure you want to do it and will face the consequences if it doesn't work when you put it back together again.

Residentevil,
Do you have any contact information for the service center on the east coast? I couldn't find any references to it.

Howard forums have a pretty good guide to the changing the housing - if you are interested...
But in a way, I get the idea that you dont want to risk breaking your phone.. I know I wouldnt do it.
