hello there!
I have a P800 and I tried many times to install the Philips camcorder but I couldn't. The phone gives a messages that Ecam compatibility is not installed. Do you know why does the phone give this messages? Is this because of the software (it is CXC162002 R1D)? And if it is, can I install a new version manually?
Thanks in advance.

welcome to Esato
unfortunately if you don't have ecam compatibility (which you don't with R1D) then you need to get your P800 firmware updated to the latest version as the phillips camcoder has the following requirement:
The 3GPP Philips Camcoder for SonyEricsson P800 software requires the Organiser CXC162001 R2A14 firmware (or later).
you should take your P800 to a service centre to be upgraded

There was also a cracked version which could run on the early firmware but with no sound but it's not very good.
In fact the whole P800 camcorder thing is a bit poor and comes with more problems than it's worth imho.
(all of which are discussed here many times)
