Hi!

I've got a problem with my brand new K750i, I can receive and send files to and from my phone to my computer and vice versa. But I can't use the remote control function.

It worked when I had the K700i and tried it on Windows XP SP1. Now I've got Windows XP SP2 and it doesn't work with my K750i.

I've got a Billionton bluetooth dongle, tried both the built in Bluetooth drivers and the Billionton ones. Same problem with both of them.

I tried enabling "Drivers for keyboard, mice, etc (HID)" in the properties for my phone on my computer... didn't help, if anything it made it worse. Kept on asking if I wanted to use my phone as a remote... when I chose yes... nothing happened.

Please help me I want to enjoy my phone to the max!
Cheers,

I have Windows XP Pro with SP2 and the BT remote works perfectly fine with my K700i. Apparantly, the SE BT Remote Control driver does not list the K750i. I am sure and I hope they will come up with an update pretty soon!

You need the Billiontons drivers. Make sure you really have these installed by checking in Device Manager. Under Bluetooth Units, doubleclick the Bluetooth Device, select the Driver tab and make sure the driver supplier reads WIDCOMM. If you have already installed the Billionton drivers and WIDCOMM is NOT displayed here, you must select "Update Driver", "Install from list or specified location", "Don't search, I will choose". You should then see the Billionton Bluetooth driver. Select it and finish the wizard.

I never got XP SP2 to work with HID using XPs bluetooth drivers. Even if Microsoft says it should work. After installing Billionton drivers, my k750i remote works as it should.

XPs drivers might work with other bluetooth HID devices, I just haven't tried.

Found this software on SonyEricssons site. It lets you define your own functions for the remote once you get it working.

Right, how do you do this ?
Mine's not a biliion whotsit.
It's just loaded up as a Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator .?
As for HID how do I enable this ?

hello everyone

i think i've got the same problem as you pine - my k750i wont connect to the bluetooth remote control.

I have a labtop with a build-in bluetooth module, and the only bluetooth software i got is microsofts.

i have too enabled the "HID" for my phone, but it still doesn't work.

anyone know how to solve my problem?

thanks in advance

you need to find drivers that work better with your bt module.

the microsoft drivers doesn't seem to work very good.

Try using this excellent guide to installing the WIDCOMM drivers - it worked for me.
