Hi,

I had a T-Mobile contract til recently and had to cancel it due to it costing me far too much for GPRS. Went back to my old O2 PAYG sim, and found that the program Agile Messenger, which I'd used without problem with T-Mobile, wouldn't work with O2.

After looking round a bit on here I discover that O2 PAYG doesn't allow you to connect to servers. Grr!

So my main question is: Are there any PAYG networks that DO allow you to use this kind of messenger software, and don't charge the Earth for GPRS? (I can use web messenger, but I really want software as it doesn't cost so much and I can have alerts when I get messages)

Any advice/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

I really do need some help with this. I did get an Orange simcard to use with my P800 today, but I still have to keep my old phone on o2, because Orange are too expensive for their cross-network calls.

Anyone know of a network that has reasonable calls/text charges on PAYG along with messenger functionality?
