> K750i - help with some menu options
Bookmark topic
There are some options on this phone that I am not familiar with and can't see in the User Guide:-
1. What are New Events (Under Settings)? How/ why do you use them?
2. Silent mode (under Sounds & alerts) ... as I have a ringer volume and vibration what if anything, does this do?

Hi
firstly, when you get a text message it appears in the new events menu, to alert you that you have a new event ;-]
Secondly, the silent mode is an option so you can have your mobile on in a meeting for example where you want your phone on but don't want loud alerts!
hope this helps!

1. new events lists missed calls, or messages not read, or calendar alarms not acknowledged etc. i.e. things you need to know about but have not taken action for. I don't think you can put anything there yourself
2. in silent mode your ringtone will not play when a call is received and the message alert will not sound when a message is received. If you have vibrate on the phone will still vibrate for these events
in silent mode, however, the media player and radio still function normally

How?! I would really like to be able to do this but can't find the menu anywhere! Thanks.

settings -> general -> new events
change it from "activity menu" to "pop-up"
doesn't seem to actually get rid of the item in the activity menu but it does change the behaviour of missed calls, messages etc

That was embarrasingly easy! Thanks - must have missed it in my initial excitement at everything else.
