If your mobile phone has been stolen from your jacket along with other items or accessories.. what action can you take if you find the thief?
As you search the internet not much can be found about what happens when mobile phones are stolen.. so why don't we clear some things up?
What can be done if?
1) If the person who has stolen the phone is under the age of 18?
2) If items are still outstanding and not been returned?
3) The person is not fully normal I.e some disorders or slight mental disorders?
4) If the thief says they where going to give you it back even though your personal data had been deleted, and their data had been put on?
5) In possession of stolen goods. I.e has been passed on to someone else?
These are sensible questions and need answering?
Anybody got any answers because the internet does not help here?!

i think we have the highest stats when it comes to cellphone theft but theres not much we can do... i know of people who have been killed for their phones!!!!
I tawt of like a finger print access when activating your phone but then i tawt of thieves cutting of peoples thumbs and stealing the phone!!!!

good policy is to report the lost phone and have the sim/IMEI blocked, but if you do get it back you cannot unblock the IMEI to resume using your phone.

The possibilities of theft at home & office are less. During long travels better to use a cheaper one so that the thief may search for you to return it. Anyway prevention is the better step.

I lost my Philips Azalis a few years ago at the Rally of NZ. I called the phone and sent text messages but to no avail. When installing carkits for the Dept of Corrections a prison guard told me that stolen mobile phones are often smuggled into the prison, either by throwing it over the wall or by inserting into a body cavity. One of those was discovered when it rang!
Some people are'nt smart.
Now I have a K700i and it's set to Phone lock.
Settings > Locks > Phone lock > Change code
Make sure you set the Protection to Automatic.

If your phone gets stolen get it Blocked/barred/blacklisted. You would have been smart enough to back it up i assume...
Seeing as most of you are over 18 here i take it you have contracts, so just explain to the providers what happend, get another phone and update it. Carry on with your life.
If (like me) your too young for contract/on pay&go, Block the phone and cough up another £300 for another p9XX. Carry on with your life.
Done.
