Hi,
I have a p900 and the DSS-20 Syncstation, connected over cable to a USB port. My DSS-20 should be on COM4.
I also happens to have a Suunto t6 watch wich uses USB to serial connection. My Suunto t6 uses COM3.
Actually, both the Suunto and the DSS-20 uses the same supplier for USB to (virtuell) serial port software. So there is no difference in the software for this.
However, the Phone Link Properties alwyas seems to scan all available ports. So each time I boot I have to go into Phone Link Properties to remove the COM3 port from the available ports to connect to. And here is the problem, This change will not be stored until next reboot/ start of my PC.
Anyone have any ideas how to prevent this from happening. Is there any sort of registry hack available to lock the software NOT to use/scan COM3 ???
I can reinstall the software, but I just did this since I just installed WinXP SP2, som I don't think there is any change in doing it again ?
