Users of Internet Explorer Web browser will not have to wait until IE7 to experience tabbed browsing. MSN has shipped a new build of its MSN Search Toolbar that adds basic tabbed browsing support to IE6. But the feature is not fully integrated into the browser, instead relying on the toolbar to create tabs.

I've been using AvantBrowser for years for tabbed browsing (and popup blocking etc etc)

its a great free utility and I;d still rather have that than install any MSN stuff on my pc

Good to see Microsoft are still up-to-date with all the latest advances in browsing... only about 5 years after every other browser started offering tabbed browsing...

Looks like Microsoft is starting to feel the heat from Mozilla...

Personally I have been using Firefox since the beginning of the year and hardly use IE anymore.

I would recomment to change over to Firefox as soon as. The other good thing about Firefox is that the moment a flaw gets discovered the gurus at Mozilla rectifies it straight away and make updates available, unlike Microsoft where it take ages, then you also have ActiveX to think about...

Abart from all this politics, the advantage of firefox is that you can customise it to suit your own needs.

I'll get off the soap-box now.

@above echo'd comments.. echo!

Using firefox for the most, IE when i'm lazy.
Last thing i want is another toolbar in the browser, googlebar in IE is enough.

More a hack then than an update and yet another "use our stuff" ploy...

I tried Firefox about 3 months ago, and it wouldnt let me use my internet banking site. It even went so far as to not let IE use the site either!. I had to format my HDD and start again to get rid of the problem! Keep firefox, I need my internet banking more!
