The Das Keyboard is a dark grey keyboard with no markings on it.The copy on their site states "If you are an elite programmer who can write sophisticated code under tight deadlines, someone who makes impossible projects possible; or a Silver Web Surfer your colleagues turn to when they need IT advice: this keyboard is for you. Shouldn't your keyboard reflect your status as one of the elite?"

that'll stop people using my pc when I'm not there

actually many years ago I used to have one of those horrible rubber dust covers that goes over the keyboard and covers each key individually. I used to put that on to practice typing and stop me looking at the keyboard as I typed... it worked!

I've actually learned from my limited experience is that if you want to learn to touch type then just don't look at the keyboard at all.Eventually your brain will automatically figure out where each key is.But im still not sure if this blank keyboard is such a good idea?

super bluetooth kerboard with built in everything = $599
knowing that your better than everyone else by using a keyboard without markings = priceless

Touch typing is easy with a bit of practise...I'm a bit rusty after leaving the desk and driving a forklift for the past 5 months, I keep catching myself looking at the keyboard. It used to be that i never looked at it! Ah well, a couple of weeks and I should be fine. keyboard is funky! Might, just might, buy it!

EDIT: Look at the price! Sod that, I'll keep using my trusty old IBM original keyboard...had it for about 8 years now, its a great piece of kit! It was old when I got it!

I'll just spray paint my keyboard. That'll bring the same effect, plus a personal touch.

It's cheaper, too.

@GoWin

Then you could start a POST PICS OF YOUR PAINTED KEYBOARD thread.

i can type without looking at the keyboard quite fast but it's strange though, whenever somebody asks me where any button is, it takes me sometime to answer but at the keyboard my fingers just move to the keys naturally
