> delay whilst saving camera pics
Bookmark topic
Has anybody else experienced this? After pressing the button to take a picture - there is a delay of about 1.5 secs with the word "saving" on the screen - during this time - the subject must not move otherwise the saved picture is the position after the 1.5 seconds!!! So I get faces with closed eyes etc......

Every digital camera has that lag.

No, not every digital camera. Infact I noticed this only with very few mobile phones.
edit: you have a K750i? seems the digital processor is too slow to process @2mpx pictures

Well, not all of them, it just depends how fast the camera is at processing the picture and saving it.
Its normal and you can move the camera whilst it is saving. Once the word saving appears, you should be able to move it without changing the picture.

mine definitely "saves" after the word "saving" disappears from the screen. I have been telling friends "don't move", "hold that pose" and so on ...which I don't have to do with normal digital camera. didn't have that problem with Nokia 7250i either.
yes I have a K750i

Once my K750i says "saving" i can move the camera at will.
Its strange yours does it, it should be much faster than that.

Most true digital cameras have an onboard buffer of fast memory to store 2 or 3 shots before sending them to the external storage...i'm guessing the phone cams don't have this luxury...but i don't find it takes that long anyway

if you have it on the highest resolution it will take a while to save, it does that on my K700i when i have the picture size on extended
