Personalize a profile (general, loud, silent ... etc.), set a song for ringing tone. Usually it's in the mmc cause the fon mem is small, of course you have to dwnload first. Sorry in behalf of the rude poster above.

6600 cant use mp3s as ringtones even with ultra mp3. you have to convert the mp3 to wav format and then transfer it to the memory card and set it as a ringtone as normal

@raghunath88, yes you can; however it depends on your Firmware. The latest I think was either 4.? or 5.?

Most earlier firmware's and branded firmware will not allow for MP3's as ringtones. So the two previous posters may not be wrong entirely. If you have UltraMP3 installed it wont help. try uninstalling it first. Then install OggPlay - as I posted in another thread within this forum (Other Manufactures). Make sure that when you download the app; read for the one that will support codecs already part of your firmware. This is important because this app will play MP3's if its already capable with your firmware. If it works, then you should be able to use MP3s as a ringtone. I recommend lowering the bitrate first though, MP3's can take up over 5MB in general; not a big deal if stored in MMC card, but if in phones memory not a good idea.

As mentioned click menu, scroll and select profiles, customize, select ringtone for the profile you want, then scroll all the way through the list, you should see Mp3's with the MemoryCard icon if stored on your MMC.

Post back if successful or unsuccessful.
