Does anyone know where to repair a P800 broken screen in the Los Angeles Area?

Or should I buy a screen online and replace it myself? If so, where to buy?

Thanks
from a broken P800 user

used to be that Global Mobility were in the LA area and could repair most phones. Their website doesn't have much going on anymore, but I suspect they are still around.

I'd say look it up on yahoo yellow pages.

thanks for the info

its gonna cost me somewhere from $150 to $200 to fix the screen. My P800 is 2+ years old and I don't want to invest that kinda money in it anymore.

I think I will get a new phone (K750 or wait for the W800 or go Nokia) with my $200 with a contract upgrade or a new contract with a diff carrier.

But that means I will live without a touch screen until the next P series. Sigh.

well there are always the HTC made devices that are windows mobile smartphones. If you are with Cingular I think they are offering one.

Or of course you can for an S710a, and wait for the next P series.

honestly, I just need an above average phone for a year or so until the next P. This is why I am not replacing my P800 with a P910.

And I want a phone coverable by cingular or Tmobile insurance for the next year, just in case I break the screen again.

I am happy with cingular now, but I might switch to Tmobile for more discount on a new phone. That means I need to wait for Tmobile to come a nice phone. I prefer a K750 but W800 will be out in the US, so possibly coverable by Tmobile. But I want a new phone now and the W800 may be still expensive, so I might go for nokia's. I don't know.

well I don't think T-Mobile US have a single in their lineup at the moment. Like I said, Cingular has the S710a, which is coverable by them and is certainly above average.

Haven't heard official word on the release of W800 in the US, but a new W600a was just announced for American networks and it looks somewhat promising.

If I were you I would get an S710a with Cingular by using your upgrade.
