Hi, I would like to know if you can change the cover of the K750 to silver. Does anyone know how I can do this, because I emailed sony and they said there was no silver version of the K750. However, i was wondering if you can change the colour of it. Thank you.

There IS a silver version but it's not for sale yet.
There is also the D750 which is silver and made for T-Mobile but essentialy the same phone, and the W800 which should be the same housing too.
The covers are not 'changable' as such but with the correct tools to dismantle the phone and a spare cover (when they become available eventually) you could do it

Vodafone are selling a silver version of the K750i but it is a Vodafone Live branded model which will be a negative point for some (me included). This colour option is called 'aluminium'.

Yep, I had one and sent it back too because of the branding. It seriously ruins the phone IMO. The annoying part was that when I ordered it I specifically asked if it would be branded and Vodafone assured me that it wasn't! imagine my disappointment when it arrived and I saw the Vodafone logo splashed all over it

I phoned them the same day and told them to take it back!

Thanks for the replies. What do you mean by the correct tools to dismantle the phone, what tools are you referring to. Also, why would u need tools when you say there will be covers available in the future?

I think that a small screwdriver, maybe also a torx screwdriver and a thin-bladed knife would be sufficient as 'tools' even though SE provides special dismantling tools for the SE service points. I think that he didn't mean changeable covers like many Nokia's have, but a pure replacement for an existing, damaged cover, like any other spare parts that may have to be replaced, like displays, or internal components. It may be quite easy to replace such a cover, but it will probably void the warranty on the phone if you do it yourself.
